We are the church

Don’t need a steeple

Let’s lend a helping hand

Reach out to people

 

We are the church

We are God’s people

Let’s be the hands and feet

Of our Lord Jesus

 

What amazing days we have before us,

We can tell so many that the Lord is for us

We can tell them of His love, that He adores us

We can let them know there’s hope and sing this chorus

 

We want to help

Lead you to Jesus

He is the way, the truth, the life,

and the reason you’re here

You were made in His image and for His glory

He wants to give you peace and hope and joy

He promised us eternal life and oh so much more

 

We are the church

Tell all the people

That there’s a brand-new day that Jesus promised

We can reach the lost wherever we are through whatever means

 

We are the church

Tell all the people

Invite them to the wedding feast of Jesus

Tell all the world, that His love has freed us

They need Him now, He is the answer

That we’re all sinners and we all fall short of God’s glory

That the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life

Because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross our death penalty has been paid

Tell them they all need to receive this most precious gift and not throw it away.

 

“18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18 & 19)
